I am the daughter of Andrew Grozier from Glen Village. I would like to tell everyone that knew him, that he passed away on 25th June 2008. He was much loved and certainly missed.

Stumbled across your site when doing other research. I am Colin Mark Grozier. I have two brothers, Kevin John Grozier and David Hamilton Grozier. My sister is Patricia Denise Blighe (Grozier).
Our father was Kennith Grozier, brother of Ron (see Will & James entries) and we were raised in Farncombe, Surrey, England.
Re: Cornelia Newlands Dixon Grozier and Edward Illes – I recall as a child visiting an Auntie Cis and an Uncle Ted (Edward Illes?) who lived in Guildford, Surrey. If I recall correctly they had two children, one named Pricilla but unfortunately I cannot remember the name of their son (I was very young!)
When living and working in France my name would be amended to Crozier (as if I couldn’t spell my own name!) and was often treated like a long lost Frenchman who had the misfortune to have spent time in exile.
I too spent a time believing that Crozier was a French version of our name and that Grozier derived from a Spanish branch of the family. I have nothing to substantiate that except distant memories and some mention of the Spanish Armada when a visiting Uncle (Alex? Alex?) mentioned having found some links between Spain and that period of history. Uncle Alec, married to Grace lived in Scarborough and was a highly decorated RAF pilot during World War II.
